Glenda Woods, a native of Charleston, MS, is the daughter of Pastor James and Mary Brock.  She was nurtured in ministry and became her father’s church musician at age nine.  She served faithfully under his leadership for twenty years.  After graduating from Mississippi Valley State University in 1986 with a degree in English teaching, Glenda accepted a teaching position in the Mississippi Delta.  In 1988, Glenda became a part of the first group of singers known as The Mississippi Mass Choir under the direction of the late Frank Williams. In May 2002, Glenda received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree from Exodus School of the Bible.

After twenty-nine years of teaching English in the MS Delta, she retired from the public school system to pursue music and ministry full time as a minister and a National Independent Gospel Recording Artist. Glenda’s first project entitled God Wants to Speak to You was released in 2006.  From that project, two singles (“I’m Healed” and “Yes He Did”) were released.  Glenda also co-produced and released her first national You Tube video entitled “I’m Healed” OFFICIAL. In March 2016, the National Radio Campaign of “Yes He Did” brought about international interests in the UK and has been added to the playlist at UBC 1, 2, and 3.  “God is Able,” another single from her Love Caused it All Project (released in 2013) was added to the playlist at UBC 3 in April of 2016.

In conjunction with teaching part-time and serving as Minister of Music for the United Rock of Ages Church under the leadership of her husband Pastor Leroy Woods III, Glenda released her third CD Project in 2019 entitled “A Living Sacrifice.”  From this project, “I’ve Learned To Lean On Jesus” was the first single to be released regionally for radio air play.  Glenda knew that her gift as a writer expanded far beyond song writing.  Writing Christian, God-inspired books was heavy in her heart.  In 2023 she released her first book entitled Still Born, and she is assured that this is only the beginning.
